Curbtender is Hiring a Product Design Engineer Near Gothenburg, NE
The Product Design Engineer is responsible for developing functional and structural systems for new Curbtender products as well as providing engineering support for current product models.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new product design solutions from market data and customer feedback
- Propose and design improvements for future and current products
- Produce 3D models and drawings
- Check the technical accuracy of drawing models and prints
- Management of Global Shop ERP system
- Submit and approve design changes
- Plan and record design validation
- Verify the completeness and consistency of data input for mechanical system designs
- Maintain the Curbtender Engineering Standards
- Engage with manufacturing floor
- Interface with customers and vendors
- Interact with purchasing department for component selection
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
- Travel: ≈10%
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer working in the medium/heavy duty truck, automotive, agricultural or related industries
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling and drafting proficiency
- Extensive knowledge of Sheet metal, and Weldment design
- Practical knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with Six Sigma and 5S methods
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs
- Have a passion forengineering design and its effective implementation
- Forward thinking and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills
